founders of Rockford Corporation in July of 2006.
Current management and industry veterans such as Lorne
Stoppler were co-investors in the transaction.
Rockford Corporation is a
well known medium and large diameter gas pipeline
contractor based in North Plains Oregon with operations
in California and Washington. With successful projects
completed across the Western United States, Alaska,
Texas and New Mexico the company has, over 40 years,
built a reputation for professionalism, quality, and
on-time, on-budget projects. In addition to pipeline
construction the company is involved in pipeline
maintenance, directional drilling, and facilities
construction. As a rapidly growing, profitable company
Rockford will be looking for acquisitions and/or
partnership opportunities in the U.S. and Canada in the
coming months ahead.

interest in Greening Donald Co. Ltd as part of a
management buy-out from the parent company, Budd Canada,
a division of Thyssen Krupp AG. A broad cross-section
of the incumbent management group at Greening Donald are
co-investors in the new entity.
Greening Donald is based in Orangeville, Ontario and is
the world’s largest supplier of airbag inflator filters.
It supplies more than 30 types of airbag filter
components to customers in North America, Europe and
Asia. It has an exclusive supply contract with Autoliv,
Inc. the pioneer in airbag systems and the premier
supplier of automotive safety equipment in the world.

The Teal-Jones Group,
headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a
privately-held niche coastal forest products
manufacturer that services local and world markets. It
focuses primarily on solid wood products including,
shakes and shingles, lumber (including small diameter
sawmilling) and custom cut specialty items for the high
value Japanese markets. The Teal-Jones Group completed
the purchase of a Vancouver Island Tree Farm License
from TimberWest Forest Corp with acquisition financing
provided by a lending syndicate including Second City
Capital Partners. The aggregate transaction value was
$30m. Our investment was refinanced in December
2004.
